Screen mirroring

Short description

In general those dongles make it possible to connect every device with a projector/TV. MiraScreen does support Android, Apple as well as Microsoft devices. The scenario has to happen in one room with one projecting device, although you are not bound to one specific room. Our scenario

Goal:

Howto:

Timeframe:

Technical part:

Advantages:

  • quicker
  • no cables
  • more secure? No virus from USB sticks e.g.
  • needs no internet connection
  • its very affordable (11€)

Disadvantages:

  • Switch button to enable Microsoft devices (could be problematic if the projected is very high)
  • Seen but not shared
  • Students might interfere with each other while presenting (screen freezes)
  • Share their personal screen (e.g. private pictures)
  • Needs HDMI and HD resolution

Benefit for teacher/ Benefit for learner (pedagogical approach):

  • learners who lack in confidence are not the focus of attention rather the screen is being looked at
  • Problems with interfering might be solved within the group
  • Live democracy
  • Teacher is not bound to the front of the room / maybe applies also for students

Role of the teacher + role of the student
